Los Angeles, Aug 28 : Actress-singer Demi Lovato has recently spoken out about the physical and emotional violence shes experienced in the world of entertainment, from her early days as a child actor to incidents that led to her going to rehabilitation, according to VarietyThe singer, who is 30, sat down with the show Call her Daddy to reflect on her career and share some of the most difficult incidents shes had to deal with, such as the time an unnamed person of her team told her she was not "sick enough" to seek treatment after she stated she was "throwing up blood".

In less than a year, she "ended up overdosing." According to Variety at the age of 13 Lovato began to experiment with drugs after receiving opiates to treat injuries she suffered in an automobile accident "My mom was not sure shed have to keep the opiates she had taken from her 13-year old daughter but I was drinking," Lovato explained.
"I was being bullied and was looking for a way to escape and , when my mother realized the amount of the pills had gone missing and how quickly they went away, she took them away and put them in a locked room." In the years following, Lovato shared that she would "get different varieties of drugs" at the time she was between 15 and 16 years old.This included the pill her mom had given her Xanax "It was on and off.Then , at 17, it was kind of was my first time I had a drink and was awed by it," she continued, recalling the time following the debut of her Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock."That kind of led me to go to treatment shortly when I turned 18." Variety says that Lovato later spoke about the return of her eating disorder in 2016 and 2018."There was a point in time when I had purged and binged one night.
I came out to my colleagues and told them"Hey, this happened." According to Lovato, she snuck out of her hotel room that night due to the fact that her hotel management decided to remove the phones , so she could not call room service "I did not consume food in my hotel room, including snacks in the mini bar as they didnt want me take the snacks in," Lovato said, noting that her team later locked her in her hotel room by blocking the doors with furniture.
"It was this level of control regarding my food choices, which increased my food cravings," she added.aa/kv.
