Lucknow, November 19, : , Congress General Secretary Priyanka Vadra stated that government agreed to remove the farm laws because they were likely to be repealed in future elections. The Prime Minister has apologized for laws, but not one word about the martyred farmers.
Why hasn’t the minister been fired yet in relation to Lakhimpur? “We will need to comprehend that only recent surveys had shown that government was losing its grip on the matter led to it being forced to reconsider,” she stated.
When asked why farmers weren’t calling off their agitation immediately, Congress leader stated, “The farmers are called names such as ‘aatankwadi, andolanjeevi, ’gundey, and ‘deshdrohi’.
They shouldn’t trust the government blindly for even a second.The government also has the right to bring an ordinance, so it shouldn’t be waiting for Parliament.
Priyanka also stated that she was pleased that the government finally recognized the power of farmers, and that nobody is more important than farmers.
The government should be serious about the events.
It is necessary to dismiss the minister who was involved in Lakhimpur’s incident.She said that other problems such as MSP and shortages of fertilizer should be dealt with.
Priyanka stated that she was happy for the support of the whole opposition during the farmer agitation.
