New Delhi, Dec 8, : The Centre has extended the deadline for submitting a Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan), by the Central Government Pensioners, in view of the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic and vulnerability of elderly people to coronavirus.Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grieces, Pensions Dr.
Jitendra Singh statedFor uninterrupted disbursement, a pensioner had to submit the Life Certificate before November 30.Singh stated that pensioners can submit their certificate in any of the available formats, including digitally or in physical form.During this extended period, pension will continue to be paid by Pension Disbursing Authorities.
The Minister stated that banks that disburse pensions have been advised to keep their Covid-19 compliant behavior while obtaining Life Certificates.He also recommended that proper arrangements and social distancing be made at bank branches to avoid overcrowding.
