Bengaluru : , India-Taiwan bilateral relations are growing with increased collaborations in cyber security.Professor Chin Tsan Wang, the Director, Science and Technology, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center, India, aimed to create a win-win scenario for both countries by promoting and cooperating on regional platforms, whether they be South Asian or Indo Pacific. On the second day of the “Bengaluru Tech Summit 2021”, he spoke out about the Government of Taiwan’s initiatives to revitalize the economy post-Covid.He also mentioned the importance of science and technology.
He stated that “the world changes in the AI age so cyber security is essential”.Taiwan is interested in working with India in order to expand research in cyber security.
For increased cooperation between Taiwan’s science parks, Dr Yi-Lang Tsai (Research Fellow, Division Director, National Center for High-Performance Computing), National Applied Research Laboratories mentioned that the Security Operation Center, which primarily conducts research on cybersecurity, and Science Park-Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (SP-ISAC) were established.
The Hybrid Intrusion Detection System is a large-scale system that detects threats.
It uses a distributed Honeynet system to deploy sensors and collect data.This provides threat intelligence as well as establishing a malware knowledge database.
The setup of Taiwan’s high performance computing platform only takes 90 seconds, which makes their security techniques the best in the world.
