Covid: Review of SOPs for testing int’l arrivals by Centre

New Delhi, Nov 28, : Sundays announcement by the Home Ministry stated that the Central Government will review the Standard Operating Procedures for testing and monitoring incoming international passengers from countries considered to be at risk.

Union Home Secretary Ajay Kulbhalla chaired a meeting on Sunday to discuss similar issues.A statement stated that the meeting reviewed the global situation following the detection of Omicron variant.

It also discussed how to strengthen preventive measures.The Genomic surveillance of variants will be strengthened and intensified.
