Canberra, Nov 26th : , The Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison will write letters to citizens asking them to get their coronavirus booster vaccinations as soon as they can, as the country continues to battle the third wave. Morrison wrote a letter to all Australian homes, stating that booster shots were key to keeping Australia open, and avoiding a fourth wave of Covid-19 infection, according to Xinhua news agency.
He wrote that “Thanks to high vaccination rates we are now opening, our economy is strongly rebounding, and people can return to seeing their family, travelling, and living a more normal lifestyle,”
Morrison stated, “An important part in this process is ensuring every person in Australia can access vaccine boosters to help keep the best defense against serious illness and death.”
“Everyone in Australia should take up the vaccine boosters to ensure that we can keep everyone safe.”
All Australians aged 18 or over are eligible for a booster vaccination six months after their last jab.
Friday’s Australian coronavirus infection report included seven deaths and more than 1,600 new locally acquired coronavirus infections.
To date, 92% of Australians 16 years and older have received one dose of Covid-19 vaccine and 86 percent were fully inoculated.
