The number of corona cases in India is steadily declining.From 8 a.m.Friday to 8 a.m.Saturday, 2,35,532 new corona cases were reported in the country.The details were revealed by the Union Ministry of Health in the Covid-19 Health Bulletin released on Saturday.With the number of cases declining day by day.Corona third phase outbreak in the country is gradually coming under control, officials said.At present the daily positivity is approaching 13.39%.The weeks average positivity rate is 16.89%.In the last 24 hours across the country, 871 people have died from the pandemic.The death toll from the epidemic has risen to 493,198.There are currently 20,04,333 active corona cases in the country.
Between 8am on Friday and 8am on Saturday, 3,35,939 people recovered from the epidemic, bringing the total number of people who have recovered so far to 3,83,60,710.The recovery rate in the country has reached 93.89%.A total of 17,59,434 people underwent corona tests in the past 24 hours and a total of 72.57 crore people underwent corona tests so far.
The ICMR report states that the vast majority of corona new cases currently being registered in the country are victims of “Omicron BA 2”.Kerala, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have the highest number of corona cases while Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana have the lowest number of corona cases.
