Mumbai, Nov 26th : Continental Entertainment Pte Ltd.is a Singapore-based media entertainment company that specializes in the marketing and distribution in India of Indian movies and television content in Asian countries.It has appointed Sreyashii Sngupta as its CEO, Southeast Asia, with immediate effect. Sreyashii has over 15 years of media experience.
She is a geographic expert and a film distributor who has worked primarily in South and Southeast Asian countries.
Sreyashii was instrumental in the distribution and screening of close to 95 movies across different genres and languages (including blockbusters).
He has been leading Darpan Global for more than a decade and has produced and distributed diverse content across different platforms.
Sreyashii is also an ambassador for the Asian Academy Creative Awards, which are supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singapore for the territories in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
After the normalization of the post-Covid-19 pandemic, Continental Entertainment Pte Ltd’s initial theatrical appearance as the territory distributor for ‘Sooryavanshi, Rohit Shetty’s blockbuster action drama starring Akshay K, was a huge success.
Movies from South India have been particularly popular in the South and Southeast Asian market.
Continental Entertainment Pte Ltd had previously taken up the non-theatrical distribution of the 2021 Dhanush-starrer Tamil action thriller film Jagame Thandhiram’ in Singapore.
Indian films have always had a great opportunity to be shown overseas, especially since the Tamil-Indian diaspora is the largest in territories like Singapore and Malaysia.
