Cong blasts BJP government for not mentioning Nehru in the campaign

Panaji 15 August : The Congress in Goa has condemned the actions of Goa administration for not including a picture of the first Premier Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on the official advertisement of Independence Day."It is a pity that the official announcement issued by the Goa government of Goa has purposely not included a photograph of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

We strongly denounce this move of the polarizing BJP," said Congress Goa unit president Amit Patkar "Pramod Sawant should look at the film of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh praising Pandit Nehru and study History books to learn about the role of Pandit Nehru.

" Patkar said "I want to inform the Chief Minister of the achievements of Jawaharlal Nehru along with other Prime Ministers such as Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi are reflected in the advertisement launched by the Congress party today to mark the 75th anniversary of Independence.The BJP government is not able to take away the accomplishments of our nation with its political divisions," Patkar said "The Congress party is proud to have our great leaders pictures holding Tiranga.

We have documentation to present to the next generation of our leaders contributions in the building of a nation.It is sad that as BJP does not have anything to show about their contribution that they have to organize a silent march to mark the Horror of Partition.
