Srinagar the 26th of August : Former Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) president Dr.Farooq Abdullah said on Friday that the Congress has in the past also faced defeats such as Ghulam Nabi Azad’s resignation but was stronger afterward.Abdullah informed the mediapersons that Azad may not be receiving the correct treatment earlier.Similar kinds of incidents have occurred before.
The Congress will be back stronger, and the country requires an armed opposition, he said.
NC vice-president and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on his Twitter account “Long reported to be in the near future, but a serious hit to the Congress however.Perhaps the leader with the highest rank to leave the party in recent times his resignation letter is extremely painful reading.It’s very sad, and frightening to watch the great old party of India collapse.”
Some PDP leaders claimed that the incident was an internal matter of the Congress party, while the party has made no statement on the development.
In the meantime, Azad loyalists continued to leave the primary group of Azad’s party.
Former MLA Muhammad Amin Bhat also resigned on Friday.
