Confident BJP ‘ignores’ Cong, AAP campaigns to win UP elections

Lucknow, Nov 26 : , Despite opposition parties like Congress and Aam Aadmi Party launching sops after sops in preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections, the ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh is not responding to these promises and is confident in its own agenda.
The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party make tall promises even before they release their manifestos officially.

The Congress leads the list with promises of 40% reservation in tickets for women, smartphones, and electric scooty for girl students, three free gascylinders each year to women, free bus travel, free pension for widows, Rs 1000 for anganwadi workers and ASHA workers, and a total of 75 schools named after female warriors.

The Aam Aadmi Party on the other hand is trying to gain inroads into middle class vote bases by promising free electricity up 300 units and massive upgrades to educational and health facilities on the Delhi model.

The Yogi Adityanath government conveniently turned a blindeye to the promises made two parties.

Senior ministers said that they shouldn’t worry about what these parties promise, as neither one of them is in the race for the next government.

They are far from the majority figure, so they can promise you the moon.Because they are not players in the political arena, people know that their promises are meaningless.”

The BJP is optimistic that the Modi and Yogi governments’ work, along with a generous topping of Hindutva will allow it to comfortably surpass the majority mark.

“Compare the work of our governments with that of these parties and you will see the difference.

The Purvanchal Expressway in east and Jewar airport west are two of the best examples. Some parties contest elections just for the fun.If Priyanka cares so much about women’s issues why doesn’t she ensure the same facilities for Congress-ruled states? asked Uttar Pradesh Minister Satish Mahana.

A senior BJP functionary stated that the party was preparing to reach out to voters based on its achievements.

“We aren’t building castles in the sky.We will show the proof of the work done in our countries. The manifesto will contain the promises for the future, but we won’t waste our time responding to the claims of Congress, AAP or other parties,” he stated.

Interestingly, Chief Minister Yogi Amityanath has repeatedly refused to answer the demands of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Whether it was the demand to remove the district magistrate following the Hathras incident, or a CBI inquiry regarding the custodial murder of a Dalit, or the withdrawal of cases against anti CAA protesters — the BJP government refused to accept any demand from the Congress.

The arrest of Ashish Misra in the Lakhimpur Kheri case was only possible after the Supreme Court took a critical view of the incident where four farmers were run over by an SUV belonging the Union minister’s son.

“The media is playing up Priyanka’s factor, but we know her standing. What magic did she create in Lok Sabha elections, where her brother lost in Amethi to her? A party leader said that all the Congress propaganda was only for media consumption.
