Australia defeated Zimbabwe with a 2-1 win in Townsville before hammering New Zealand 3-0 in Cairns -the entire time Australias selectors played with bowling and batting options "The exposure were giving certain players in Inglis and Abbott and Green, with (Mitch) Marsh and (Marcus) Stoinis and (Pat) Cummins not in that last team, were making some more depth" McDonald said "We have played a few individuals in various roles "We have been a bit challenging us with the organization of our team, as also playing 8 batters in an effort to increase the number of overs of our players from all over," McDonald was quoted by local media "We received lots of information from of the six games played in this area, in particular the three games played against New Zealand in difficult conditions "The positive aspect is the flexibility of our players to play under various conditions and play in various ways." Australia has tested Marnus Labuschagne Cameron Green, Ashton Agar, Sean Abbott and Josh Inglis during the two series with different levels of success.
McDonald stated that he is in no hurry to make the final decision because Finch will continue to serve as skipper until the forthcoming T20 World Cup in October and November "Its likely to be the final game of the (T20) World Cup isnt it?" he declared "We have a of of time to think about what these options are "Weve been given the (T20) World Cup in the front of us, so thats more important in the moment than filling the captains role." The next 50-over match for Australia is the three-match ODI series in November against England which is scheduled to take place shortly following the T20 World Cup.bsk/in.
