Hyderabad, Nov 30, : Telangana Chief minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy, a Telugu film lyricist and poet, mourned Tuesday the passing of Chambolu Seetharama Sstry, also known as Sirivennela. Chandrasekhar Rao said that Sirivennela could write lyrics to any song in his condolence message.He said that Sirivennela was a lyricist who captivated both scholars and common men and won their hearts.
He recalled that Seetharama Sastry named his debut film his surname, and that he spent three decades and a half of his literary journey touching upon traditional and social issues.He said Sirivennela’s death had left a gap in the film industry and called it a great loss for Telugu literature and film.
He expressed his deepest condolences for the family members who had lost their loved ones.
Jagan Mohanreddy also condoled Sirivennela’s death.
In his message, he said that Sirivennela was an embodiment of Telugu film song values.
He stated that the emotions Sirivennela’s words evoked will forever be part of the history and culture of Telugu people.He called the death of the lyricist a great loss and expressed his condolences for his family.
Telangana’s Cinematography Minister T.Srinivas Yadav, and Industry Minister K.T.Rama Rao expressed shock and grief at the loss of Sirivennela.
