Chiranjeevi with mother lifts Tricolour

Hyderabad 15 August, Hyderabad : Megastar K.Chiranjeevi was celebrating Independence Day with her mother Anjana Devi at the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank here on Monday.

The actress assisted her mother in raising the flag of the nation.They also paid tribute to the image of "Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

In his short speech, Chiranjeevi welcomed people on the day of Independence Day.He declared it a special day because the country has completed 75 years of Independence "I believe it is our luck to be taking part in the golden Jubilee celebrations.Its because of the tremendous sacrifices of a number of freedom fighters , that were now commemorating Independence," said the former Union minister.

Chiranjeevi praised the mothers of the freedom fighters that allowed them to take part in the struggle for freedom.He stated that he was pleased to participate in the flag hoisting ceremony with his mother for this particular day.Chiranjeevis brother is actor-politician Pawan Kalyan lowered the flag of the nation in his Jana Sena Party office at Mangalagiri in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.Another prominent actor as well as Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA N.Balakrishna hoisted the Tricolor at the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Hyderabad.Balakrishna who is the the chairman of the institute, claimed that the freedom enjoyed by the present generation has been a result of sacrifices made by many outstanding citizens of the nation.
