China bans celebrities showing wealth on social media

New Delhi, Nov 24, : China has banned celebrities from sharing their wealth on social media as part of its latest crackdown on entertainment, Daily Mail reported.

These rules prohibit celebrities from publishing false or personal information, inciting fans against other fan groups, and spreading rumours.Business Insider also reports that celebrities and fans will have to follow public order and good customs, be consistent with correct public opinion orientations and value orientations, promote socialist core principles, and maintain a healthy fashion and taste.

As China continues to expand its hold on the entertainment industry, the new rules are the latest crackdown against celebrity culture.Chinas celebrities were warned by the Communist Party in September to oppose the decadent views of money worship, hedonism, and extreme individualism at an entertainment sector symposium, Daily Mail reported.
