Thiruvananthapuram : , Saturday, November 27 : .The Kerala government exempted children under ten years from cumpulsory RTPCR testing before they visited the famous Sabarimala temple.
It was reaffirmed that elders must ensure that their children are following the Covid protocol and wearing a mask, carrying a sanitiser, and social distancing.

The order also stipulates that elders are responsible for children’s health issues.

The above ten-year-old pilgrims must have a negative RTPCR test report no older than 72 hours old or have received both vaccine jabs.

The two-month-long temple season that began on November 16, will end in the third week January with a few days of rest.

This season, the daily limit on devotees is 30,000.You should either pre-book or get a spot booking.Counters have been opened.

According to temple authorities, more than 1.3 million pilgrims have already pre-booked their temple visits.

This temple, which is the largest earner for Travancore Devasom Board, the body that manages many temples in South Kerala districts, has been experiencing a difficult festive season since 2018.

The previous season was severely affected by Covid.However, this time, in the first ten day after it opened, Rs 10 crores has been raised through offerings and sales of “appom” (payasem), as the “prasad”.
