This will bring the total number of households that will have tap water connections to approximately 4 lakh rural households."With this years Central allocation of Rs 10,870 crore and with an opening balance of Rs 466 crore available with the Uttar Pradesh state government, the states matching share of 2021-22 and shortfall in matching state share of previous years, the total assured fund available for the implementation of JJM in Uttar Pradesh is more than Rs 23,500 crore.
"With the Central allocation of Rs 10,870 crore for this year and an opening balance of Rs 466 million with the Uttar Pradesh state governments, the states matching contribution of 2021-22, and the shortfall in matching state shares of previous years, the total assured funds available for the implementation JJM in Uttar Pradesh exceeds Rs 23,500 crore.Thus, the government of India is ensuring that there is no paucity of funds for the implementation of this transformational mission in the state of Uttar Pradesh," the Ministry of Jal Shakti said in a release on Friday.
