New Delhi, November 20, : , The Centre began the monetisation non-core assets of telecos — BSNL & MTNL. DIPAM, the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (Department of Investment and Public Asset Management), has opened an auction of BSNL and MTNL assets.
With the first six properties auctioned by the telecos, monetization began.
Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Secretary of DIPAM, tweeted Saturday: “Non-core asset monetisation begins with the first six properties of BSNL/MTNL bi out on the MSTC Portal,”
According to DIPAM’s website asset monetisation is the creation of new revenue streams by unlocking value in previously unutilised and under-utilised public assets.
