CDS helicopter crashes: Rajnath requests IAF chief to rush to the spot

Sharma, Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal, to reach the crash site in Tamil Nadu.Chaudhari will reach the crash site of the military aircraft in Tamil Nadu, where the helicopter carrying Chief Of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat was involved in an accident on WednesdaySingh is also monitoring the situation.

A meeting of senior ministry officials in defence is currently underway.Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also briefed by the Defence Minister about the crash.

A military helicopter crashed in Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor.General Bipin Rawat, his wife and their team were on their way to Wellington to deliver a lecture.

According to the force, an inquiry was ordered to determine the cause of the accident.
