People are panicking due to the fastest spread of coronavirus in the country.However, some private hospitals are charging heavy fees for corona treatment.
Vigilance officers who received complaints about this carried out sudden raids on several hospitals.Cases have been registered against a total of 9 private hospitals in the state.
A case has been registered against Chaitra Hospitals in Eluru and Asha Hospital in Anantapur district for charging high fees from corona patients.Cases have also been registered against Visakhapatnam SR Hospital.
Vigilance officers registered a case against Ramya Hospitals in Visakhapatnam as they are treating corona patients without permission from the concerned authorities.A case was registered against Vijayawada Sriram Hospital.
Cases have been filed against Vishwas Hospital in Guntur district for charging heavy fees and treating the corona patients without proper permission.Similarly, a case has been registered against Peeleru Prasad Hospital for charging high fees and treating patients without permission from respective authorities.
Vigilance officials have so far registered a case against 37 private hospitals in the state.Vigilance officers said that the raids on the private hospitals would continue.
