Despite the government running ‘Road Safety Week’, and organizing other campaigns about road safety, people are still going about their own way and losing precious lives.In one such incident, two youngsters have lost their lives after their car hit a still lorry at 100kmp.
The accident took place at around 3:30 am today morning.
Going into the details, the deceased Vivek Chandra (20), and Pranay Kumar (25) belong to Karimnagar.
According to the details released by the police, Swaraj and Siva Kesava met at Vivek Chandra’s house.Even Pranay was present.
All the four planned to attend their friend’s birthday bash in Hyderabad.They partied before beginning their journey and had alcohol in the process.
Siva Kesava was driving the car under the influence of alcohol, while the other three dozed off.In a blink of an eye, Siva Kesava saw a lorry approaching him, and to prevent collision he turned the car towards his left.He ended up hitting a lorry parked along the roadside at 100kmp.
In the accident, Vivek Chandra who was sitting in the front seat towards the left side, and Pranay Kumar sitting in the back seat right behind Vivek were severely injured and succumbed to death.
Siva Kesava and Swaraj are receiving treatment in a nearby hospital, and their condition is critical.
