Cambodia allows entertainment venues in capital to reopen

After a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all nightclubs and karaoke bars in Phnom Penhs capital were allowed to reopen on Tuesday.

"Karaoke parlors nightclubs and discotheques are allowed to reopen in Phnom Penh starting November 30th, with adaptation to the new norm," Khuong Sreng, Phnom Penh governor, stated in a decision.He said that business owners must adhere to the standard operating procedure.

He suggested that staff members be assigned to inspect the Covid vaccination cards and check the temperature at the entry.They must adhere to measures such as mask-wearing and hand hygiene, physical distancing and avoiding enclosed spaces.
