Book Param Bir Singh on terror charges, demands Mumbai ex ACP

Mumbai, Nov 26 : A shocking claim has been made by a former Mumbai Police officer that Param Bir Singh, ex-DIG of Anti Terrorist Squad, took a phone from Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Amir Kazab 13 years agoShamsherkhan Pathan, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, met with Singh and submitted a request on July 26 to Hemant Nagrale asking that Singh be charged with terror for his antinational act.

Param Bir Singh arrived in Mumbai on Friday and Pathan informed mediapersons that Singh was the DIG-ATS and he was a Senior Inspector at Pydhonie Station.

Singh allegedly took a mobile phone from Kasab, the only terrorist captured alive after the terror attacks. This device, which could be crucial evidence, has not been found on police records.

Pathan stated that he had requested the CoP Nagrale to conduct an investigation into the matter, where is the mobile and why it wasnt handed over to the 26/11 investigation group, and to book Singh under terror charges for destroying vital evidence." Pathan explained that he was only recollecting the issue after 13 long years.

He said that he wasnt directly concerned with it and only recalled it after Singh made allegations of corruption against Anil Deshmukh, former home minister, in March. Then, he was also facing extortion charges and graft charges "I spoke to N.R.Mali (the then Senior Inspector of Police at D.B.Marg Police Station), who confirmed that the mobile had been handed over by a constable named Kamble Singh, but it hasnt yet appeared on the police records.Pathan stated that this is a serious matter.

Pathan blasted the ex-ATS DIG for allegedly being a "known corrupt officer who has received the blessings from the Bharatiya Janata Party".He said that Singh became angry when a probe team sent a police officer to collect the device.

Instead, he shouted at the officer and asked him to get out.Pathan claimed that Singh could have used the phones contacts for extortion or sold it to ISI to destroy evidence.Even though legal officials claim that Kasab did not have a mobile phone on the records, Kasab was tried and convicted.

Kasab was finally sent to the Gallows on November 21, 2012 at the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune.qn/b #Param #Singh #demands #Mumbai.
