Bengaluru, Nov 27, : , Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of Karnataka, has convened an evening meeting to discuss the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Bengaluru & Dharwad as well as the effects of the new strain.
The meeting will take place at 4 p.m.to discuss whether the virus spreads from Kerala, which is experiencing a spike of Covid cases, and also about precautionary steps.

He said that officials from the Department of Health, Disaster Management, and Advisory Board for Covid-19, along with experts, will meet to discuss the future course of actions.

Bommai appealed for the public to join the Health Department in taking precautions against the spread of the deadly virus.

K.Sudhakar, Health Minister, stated that there should not be any worries about the new virus.

New guidelines will be published, Covid tests will take place at airports, and those who test positive will go into quarantine.

He said that they will be subject to another test after a week.

He explained that Omicron’s symptoms are similar to the earlier strains of Covid.It remains to be determined if it is more dangerous that the Delta variant.

Sudhakar said that enough stock has been maintained and steps have been taken to provide the required medicines to hospitals.

However, 45 lakh people have yet to receive the second dose of vaccine.

There was resistance to vaccines in the past.However, with as many as 80 million Covid vaccines in stock, it is difficult to understand why people aren’t coming forward now.He stated that people can be exposed to serious complications if they are not taken care of.
