Bommai requests US Kannadigas for help in promoting state’s proindustrial policy

Bengaluru : Nov 20, 2010 - Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of Karnataka, urged Kannadigas who have settled in the US this Saturday to share good news about its pro-industrial policies.

The USA must send Kannadadigas to educate the natives about pro-industrial policies and existing facilities, in order for them to decide whether Karnataka is worth their investment.He said that the government would extend its support to all and cooperate.

He advised them also to help Kannadigas get the top US posts.Kannada language was the oldest dialect, and Hindi is just one of many.

Bommai stated that the Classical status was given to it because "it is older than Tamil Language" His government was preparing a strategy to ensure that local workers in the private sector have access to state jobs.There were attempts at this earlier, but they were unsuccessful.
