Venkatesh Daggubati and Divya Bharti starrer action comedy film, ‘Bobbili Raja’, which was released on 14th September 1990 and went on to become a massive hit at the box-office has now completed 30 years since its release.This movie was directed by B.Gopal and was produced by D.Suresh Babu under the banner of Suresh Productions.
As the film completed 30 years, Venkatesh fans are celebrating this memorable day by trending the hashtag #3DecadesForBobbiliRaja.Joining the celebrations himself, Venky also went down memory lane on Monday and recalled the shoot of the 1990 film.
Venky took to Twitter and said, “Today marks #3DecadesForBobbiliRaja Feeling very nostalgic! Thank you to all my fans and everyone who has contributed to the success of the film! I couldn’t have done it without you all!”.
This film had a 175 day run in 3 centres and it was Venkatesh’s first silver jubilee hit movie and was the second-highest grosser of the year 1990 behind Chiranjeevi’s ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’.
The film revolves around a man, who tames an aggressive daughter and her mother.
This film was later dubbed into Tamil as ‘Vaaliban’ and into Hindi as ‘Rampur Ka Raja’.
It was also remade in Hindi and was titled as ‘Boy Friend’, in which Sheeba and Ravi Behl played the lead roles.Keep watching this space for more updates!.
