Modi’s image must be displayed in govt offices, as demanded by BJP’s Madurai Unit

Chennai, Nov 30, : The Madurai Unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has appealed through the district collector to the Tamil Nadu Government to display images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in all government officesModis photos should be displayed with the Chief Minister in banners displaying the central schemes, according to the BJP leadership.

Saravanan (the Madurai district president of the BJP) told the media that the party was not appealing the DMK but the Tamil Nadu government.He stated, "We insist on using the Prime Minister’s picture alongside the Chief Minister to make people realize that these schemes have participation from the Central government.

" The leader of the saffron party said that the Madurai unit of the party had not made a new demand.It was based on a 1990 government order that stated that nine pictures, including the Prime Minister, could be displayed in public offices.
