Imphal, Nov 22, : , Union Home Minister Amit Shah said Monday that the BJP would return to power in Manipur during the upcoming Assembly election.This is because the party had restored peace after the state was traumatized by terrorism over many years.
According to the Home Minister, the frequent shutdowns and disruptions caused by the BJP government led by N.Biren Singh in 2017 were stopped after N Biren Singh became Chief Minister of BJP.A new mission has been established for development.

The elections to the 60-seat Manipur Assembly will likely be held next February/March along with Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.Manipur’s law and order situation is much better.After laying foundation stones for Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters’ Museum in Luangkao village, Manipur’s Tamenglong district and virtually speaking from Delhi Shah stated that the development of the state will intensify.

The Home Minister spoke out to highlight the contribution and sacrifice of Manipur freedom fighters, Rani Gaidinliu included.He said that Andaman Islands’ Mount Harriet, home to 22 freedom fighters, was renamed ‘Mount Manipur’ last month in honour and memory.

According to him, Manipur made a major contribution in fighting the British in all of northeastern India during the 1857 revolution as well as in 1891.Manipur’s freedom fighters were always against the British in combative battles.Yuvraj Tikendrajit, a Manipuri hero of war, and General Thangal were both publicly hanged in Fida at Imphal.They believed that they would crush the freedom movement by hanging them.But it didn’t happen.He said that after this Maharaja Kulchandra Singh Dhwaja Sing and 22 freedom fighters were sent on to Kala Pani.They were then kept at Mount Harriet Island.”

The ceremony was attended by Arjun Munda (Union Tribal Affairs Minister), Manipur Chief Minister, and his council of ministers.Lok Sabha members from northeastern states were also present.
