Bharatiya Janata Party, (BJP) J&K General Secretary, Ashok Koul, said Monday that elections would be held in the Union Territory soon after the delimitation process has been completedKoul told Bandipora residents that Assembly elections will take place soon after the Delimitation Commission has completed its process.
He also stated that J&K will regain statehood when a common Kashmiri can freely move without fear "When Jammu and Kashmirs situation improves and the selective murders cease, when a common Kashmiri can move freely, the statehood will be restored." Koul stated that "Our Prime Minister and the Home Minster have also assured us that the statehood in J&K will be restored while the BJP is also supporting the demand.
" When he was asked about the delimitation process, his answer was that the commission would submit its report soon after which J&K will distribute 90 Assembly seats.He added that polls will follow.
Concerning civilian killings, he stated that in selective killings, BJP leaders are being targeted along with non-Muslims.He stated, "We are against it because no religion allows it." sq/v .
