ISIS-K sends another email to BJP MP Gambhir

New Delhi, Nov 28, : Gautam Gambhir, a former cricketer and BJP MP, received another email from ISIS–Kashmir just days after he received a death threat via the same email ID.
The mail accessed by IANS read: “Delhi Police & IPS Shweta cannot uproot anything.” Our spies are also present at the police.

IPS Shweta Chanhan is currently serving the Central District of the capital as the DCP.

The mail, which was sent on Sunday at 1.37 a.m., stated that all information regarding the East Delhi BJP MP was being received.

Gambhir received a death threat just 4 days ago from the same source.”We received an email from ISIS-Kashmir regarding the official ID of MP Gautam Gambhir, at 9.32 p.m.November 23.The mail contains death threats to the MP, his family,” reads the complaint filed by Gambhir’s PS Gaurav Arora to DCP Shweta Chauhan.

Gambhir received a second e-mail later in the evening that same day.It contained an attachment with video footage of Gambhir’s home.This indicated that ISIS-K had conducted a reconnaissance.The Cyber Cell of the Delhi police tracked the location of the threat letter to Karachi, Pakistan.

Sources claim that the new Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Ops units made the breakthrough in the investigation.

Gambhir received the first threatening email four days ago.Security arrangements have been tightened around Gambhir’s home.

Rakesh Asthana (Delhi Police Commissioner) has also been closely following the case.

Notably, the 40-year-old cricketer-turned-politician Gambhir, a staunch nationalist, has been extremely vocal about the issue of terrorism in Kahmir.Gambhir had also approached the Delhi Police in December 2019, claiming that he and his family were being threatened by death from an international number.

He also requested that the police file a case to ensure the safety and security for his family.
