BJP is devising a strategy to combat Nitish post Bihar rejection

New Delhi, Aug 12 : Bihar Chief Minister and JD-U leader Nitish Kumars surprise decision to break the ties with the NDA and establish a government in the eastern state in alliance with the RJD and Left parties has spurred the BJP to come up with an action plan to take on the chief minister of eight times.

In actual fact, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, following his participating in an interview with CPI-M general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI general secretary D.Raja and Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Friday, declared that all opposition parties must come up with a plan of action together.Recent declarations of Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav give an obvious indication that the two leaders are working to get all opposition parties together to take on the BJP in the 2024 general elections.

Even though Nitish Kumar has yet make any official announcement in this regard, he could emerge as potential prime ministerial contender for the 2024 election to the Parliamentary race.In addition, the BJP is well aware of these possibilities.

The BJP believes that one of the weak points of the Bihar CM where it could be a target is his alliance with Lalu Prasads RJD -which is a party that has a difficult time achieving a the "clean" image on many points. The RJD has been focusing on Nitish Kumar in connection with corruption accusations made against Lalu Prasad and his family members since he is currently in charge of the government alongside with the RJD.Interacting with media representatives in the BJP headquarters in the city spokesperson for the party Sambit Patra stated: "Jungle Raj is back in Bihar. In fact it was Nitish Kumar who came up with the term "Jungleraj" while Lalu Prasad was in power.

In the present, he has joined hands with his party to run the government." According to sources the BJPs plan to focus on Nitish Kumar is primarily concerned with issues of corruption allegations against Lalu Prasad family.

The party will be asking questions to the Bihar Chief Minister, and take these questions towards the public (voters) of other states as well.stp/pgh/ ar.
