Biden looks at the damage caused by floods in Kentucky’s eastern Kentucky

Washington 9th, August : US President Joe Biden examined the flood damage in the eastern region of Kentucky.
In a meeting with local and state officials, Biden on Monday afternoon said the destruction has been “heartbreaking”.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear tweeted on Sunday that at 37 people had died and that “the destruction is massive”.

Biden had requested federal aid to support Kentucky and local efforts to recover in the areas hit by extreme storms, flooding, land slides and mudslides Xinhua news agency reported.

Biden, 79 years old, came out of his isolation on Sunday, after being in the negative area for Covid-19 for two days in a row.He traveled to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Sunday morning.

Fully vaccine-free and twice boosted, Biden first tested positive for Covid-19 on the 21st of July which led to days of isolation and treatment at the White House before receiving negative test results.He was positive on the 30th of July in an incident that rebounded and was coughing lightly but did not resume treatment.
