Young director Venky Kudumula delivered two back-to-back blockbusters with his first two films which are ‘Chalo’ and ‘Bheeshma’.He is currently busy writing for his next scripts.
There was news that he is going to direct Ram Charan for his next film, but there was no update.Recently we hear that Ram Pothineni will be teaming up with Venky and an official confirmation is awaited. The latest news is that this director who is currently penning the script for his next has received a phone call from an unknown person.He said that his previous film ‘Bheeshma’ was in contention for International Film Festival and he needs to pay some money for the registration process.
Believing in his words, Venky Kudumula deposited Rs.66 thousand into their account for nominating his film ‘Bheeshma’ under various categories in the Film Festival.Later, the scamster again called up Venky and told him to transfer some more money, as there was an error in nominating Bheeshma in 6 different categories.
Sensing that something was going wrong, Venky directly called him up to find out the he was scammed.
The director now lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police.Police registered the case and cybercrime officials are investigating the case based on the phone number and account details of the cybercriminals.Keep watching this space for more updates!
