Bengal teacher recruitment scam: All interviews made through TET since 2011 under the ED scanner

Kolkata 30 August : All primary teacher selections in West Bengal done by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) through the teacher eligibility tests (TET) from 2011 are under the watch of central authorities, such as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The ED requested the documents of all the recruitments made by TET in 2011 through the WBBPE.

ED sources claimed that the documents have been requested by the joint director officer of the agency.In the same way the WBBPE has sought the information from the various councils for primary education in the district and asked them to provide the documents in this regard on September 1st.

ED sources have said that their sleuths will look over each and every record of recruitments made through TET since 2011 and determine the mistakes in the selections made.

Already, the CBI and ED are conducting parallel investigations in the matter in response to the direction of the Calcutta High court’s single judge bench of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay.

He also directed that the urgent elimination of the Trinamool Congress legislator, Manik Bhattacharya, from the position of WBBPE president.
