Bengal coal smuggling case: ED summons Abhishek Banerjee on Sep 2

Kolkata 30 August : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned the general secretary for the national level Abhishek Banerjee on the 2nd of September to be questioned on the coal smuggling fraud in West Bengal.

ED sources claimed that in the course of interrogation of certain Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the state, detectives discovered new hyperlinks in the fraud, after which it became imperative to investigate Abhishek Banerjee.The sources claimed that a specially-constituted group of ED officials from the headquarters of the agency in New Delhi will be traveling to Kolkata to take part in Abhishek Banerjees interview.
