B’desh bans entry to S.African travellers

Dhaka, Nov 27, : Bangladesh has suspended entry to South Africa for travellers on Saturday due to the spread of Covid-19.

Minister said, "Weve decided that travel from South Africa will be suspended with immediate effect." He stated that Omicron, the new variant, is very aggressive.

Minister says that the Bangladeshi government is also improving screening procedures at all ports.The vaccination drive has led to significant reductions in the number of deaths and covid-19 infections in Bangladesh.
