However, Vaughan was not allowed to play in the Ashes team or in wider coverage of the sport at this time.

“We expect our contributors talk about relevant topics, and his involvement with the Yorkshire story is a conflict of interests.”

Vaughan “categorically” denied making the comment and claimed that his reputation is being “trashed unfairly”.

Vaughan responded to the BBC’s decision and said that he was “very disappointed” not to be commentating on TMS’s Ashes match.

He also expressed his regret at the loss of the opportunity to work with great friends and colleagues.

He said that he was “looking forward” to being behind the microphone for @foxcricket Australia.

Vaughan stated on Instagram that “the issues facing cricket are larger than any one case” and that he wanted to be part of the solution by listening, educating himself, and making it a more welcoming sport.

The 47-year old was removed from his BBC Radio 5 Live show in November and will not participate in the BBC’s “wider coverage” of the sport at the moment.

Vaughan has denied all allegations against him.Five Tests will be played against Australia by England, with the first one starting in Brisbane on 8 December. In 2009, he joined the BBC’s Test Match Special radio program.

Vaughan wrote in his Daily Telegraph column, “totally denies” making that comment.

Vaughan stated in November that he had categorically denied saying the words Azeem Rafiq attributed to him.He also said, “I want to publicly re-state this because the ‘you bunch’ comment simply never happened.”

“It is very upsetting that this completely false accusation was made against me by a former teammate, apparently supported two other players.”
