Pakistan comfortably sat at 109/0 at stumps Monday, and needed only 93 runs to win the final day.This gave them a 1-0 lead in series.Both openers reached half-centuries in the second Test, putting Pakistan in command of the series.

Earlier, Bangladesh were out for just 157 runs in the second innings despite Liton Das’ fighting half century in the second innings.Mushfiqur Rahim was caught in front by Hasan Ali during the first over.

But Liton and Yasir Ali did well, scoring regular boundaries.Both tried to make runs, but the fine bowling of Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Sajid Khan kept Bangladesh batsmen away from opening their mouths.

Das was fortunate when Mohammad Rizwan failed to take a stumping chance against Nauman Ali’s balling.After Yasir’s 31st over, their partnership was broken.

Yasir was hit on the side of the helmet in the 30th over while trying to dodge a bouncer by Afridi.After an on-field concussion testing, Yasir appeared to be fine.

He batted for one over after the incident before deciding to go.

As Liton extended their lead to 200, Nurul Hasan, Yasir’s concussion replacement, was part of a 38-run partnership.Afridi returned to limit Bangladesh and got Das out lbw.He then bagged his fifth wicket when he got Abu Jayed, the ‘keeper, to glove the ball.Sajid was last to leave, getting Taijul Islam out for 157.Bangladesh were then bowled out for just 202 runs.
