Assam plans to send 1K of its students to Andaman and Nicobar Islands to learn about cellular prison

Guwahati 17 August : Guwahati, August 17 : Assam government will provide 1,000 students from the state for an education trip to Cellular jail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where several freedom fighters from several northeastern states were detained under the British rule the chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Wednesday.

The special session of one day of Assam assembly took place on the occasion of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.Sarma claimed that the "Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign" was a popular movement, Sarma said "we received an unprecedented reaction all over the entire state".
