Ashwin claims that he sometimes doeszes off during narration. Directors are furious

Chennai, Dec 8, 2008 : A number of directors from Tamil film industry took exception to Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthans statement at the audio launch of his upcoming Tamil film Enna Solla Pogirai.

Ashwin stated that the only story that made him feel awake was the one that Hariharan had narrated.His statement did not please Tamil film directors.

Some took to social media to voice their opinions.Tamil director S.P.Shakthivel stated, "On behalf 40 directors, I condemn your and your attitude.This is a kind of attitude that I didnt expect from a debutant such as you.This will be your reality ." The actor was also ridiculed on social media for his speech.He later clarified that he did not mean to disrespect any directors who had narrated their scripts.
