Chennai, Dec 8, 2008 : A number of directors from Tamil film industry took exception to Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan’s statement at the audio launch of his upcoming Tamil film ‘Enna Solla Pogirai. Ashwin, who is making a debut as an actor in the film ‘Enna Solla Pogirai,’ had said Monday that he had listened 40 scripts and didze off during their narration.
Ashwin stated that the only story that made him feel awake was the one that Hariharan had narrated.
His statement did not please Tamil film directors.
Some took to social media to voice their opinions.
Tamil director S.P.Shakthivel stated, “On behalf 40 directors, I condemn your and your attitude.This is a kind of attitude that I didn’t expect from a debutant such as you.This will be your reality .”
The actor was also ridiculed on social media for his speech.He later clarified that he did not mean to disrespect any directors who had narrated their scripts.
The actor claimed that he made the statements out of nervousness.
However, not all directors will buy the explanation of the actor.
A.Venkatesh, a well-known actor, took to Twitter to share his thoughts.Right? It would have saved time and these directors would have tried other heroes with hope.
