Ashes, 1st test: Cummins makes a dream debut to Test captaincy with a five-wicket haul

Cummins is now the first Australian captain to win a five-wicket Ashes Test match since Richie Benauds 1962 victory.He was also the first captain to win an Ashes Test with a five-wicket score, since Bob Willis in 1982/83.

Cummins became the first Australian captain to score five wickets in Australia since Anil Kumble, Indias great leg spinner, in 2008.Courtney Walsh, a West Indies great, was the last fast-bowling captain to take a five-wicket win in Australia in 1997.
