The Arab Cup kicks off on November 30.Indian expats are supporting the Gulf state with the Embassy hosting a carnival.

People have been enjoying events and celebrations that reached a crescendo where Indians are the largest group, as the weather is changing and the sun is shining less harshly on the country that will be hosting the first winter football World Cup next season.

At the opening ceremony of the carnival at Ideal India School in Doha, Dr Deepak Mittal, India’s Ambassador to Qatar, wore a maroon sleeveless jacket among a sea balloons in Qatar’s flag’s colour – maroon/white.

The event was held in honor of the international soccer jamboree which will take place in the country next November 21.

Mittal stated that the Indian community showed solidarity and support for the major international sporting event.

The Arab Cup trophy was presented to the Arab Cup trophy only to Indians, which was the only non-Arab group to do so.It’s a great honor for our country, Mittal stated at the Indian Community Carnival.

“Qatar is not planning to slow down in the build-up for next year’s World Cup.”Qatar put on a stunning show last week by hosting its first ever Formula One Grand Prix at Losail Circuit Sports Club,” said a Doha journalist who has been following the Gulf state’s sports moves for many years.

Qatar will host the Australian Open qualifying matches for the second consecutive year.This will take place before the first Grand Slam in 2022 in Melbourne in January.

The journalist stated that David Beckham, a global football icon, was one of the guests at Ooredoo Qatar’s F1 Grand Prix last Wednesday.This shows how well Qatar manages large footfalls in sports events.

16 teams will compete in the Arab Cup, which begins on November 30th and includes 368 players.

An Indian Embassy official said that there are less than 360 days before FIFA World Cup 2022.

This momentum will increase interest and expectations among Indian football fans.

Armstrong Vaz, an Indian journalist and sports writer based in Doha, stated that Indian schools must convey the message that winning and playing are possible and that representing the school, state, or district is not impossible.

Vaz, a former administrator in sports, stated that while some may not be able do that, they should realize that there are many options in sports and a wide range of careers waiting for them.
