It is the first such advisory in six monthsAccording to the Research Institute of Public Health and Environment in the City, Fridays hourly average dust particle density reached 96 micrograms/cubic meter in 25 areas of the capital.

(Yonhap) This was Seouls first advisory on ultrafine dust since May 7.An advisory will be issued if the hourly mean concentration of PM2.5 -- particles less than 2.5 micrometers in size -- remains above 75 micrograms/cubic meter for more than two hours. At 9 PM (S.Korea Time), another advisory was issued by the authority. The citys PM 10, which are particles less than 10 micrometers, had remained above 150 micrograms per square meter for more than two hours.According to the institute, the increase in PM2.5 and PM10 has been attributed to stagnant airflow and high pressure around the Korean Peninsula. The advisory advised people with cardiovascular or respiratory diseases to remain indoors as much as possible, and to wear dust masks when outside.int/dpb #Ultrafine #advisory #issued #Seouls #worse.
