San Francisco, Nov 22, : , Cupertino’s tech giant Apple has been reported to have recycled the Watch Series 8 design with only one change: the speaker grille. GizmoChina reports that the speaker grille was no longer one long piece but a pair of shorter pieces, each with one on top.
It is possible that the watch will also receive major capabilities upgrades in its sensor section.
Apple Watch Series 8 will be equipped with next-generation sensors that allow for glucose monitoring.
Apple Watch Series 8 suppliers have reportedly begun developing parts to enable this.
Apple and its suppliers are already working together on short-wavelength, infrared sensors.
This sensor is commonly used for medical devices.It will be mounted on the watch’s back, and allow it to monitor the glucose and sugar levels in the wearer’s blood.
It would add a lot to the existing features on the Apple Watch models.
Apple Watch Series 6 recently added a blood oxygen sensor.
The Apple Watch Series 6 is capable of taking ECGs, measuring heart rate, falls and blood oxygen levels.This compares to the original Apple Watch that could only measure daily activities.
