The Meteorological Department announced that the state of AP will have heavy rains.The north-south basin, which affects the southern states, is currently weak.It extends from western Vidarbha to Tamil Nadu via Karnataka at an altitude of 0.9 km above sea level.On the other hand, another basin extends at an altitude of 1.5 km from eastern Bihar to the southern coast of Odisha.
The meteorological department has forecast that Andhra Pradesh, especially Uttarandhra will have light to heavy rains with thunder and lightning.There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning during the next three days in Yanam.
They have forecasted light to moderate showers in some parts of the southern coast and Rayalaseema along with thunder and lightning.The rest of the region will receive light to moderate rains, officials said.
It also rained in many parts of the state last week.It is reported that the farmers are facing tough times due to these untimely rains as their crops are being damaged.
