The AP government today launched the YSSAR-EBC Nestam scheme.YSR will provide financial assistance to poor women of the upper castes under the name of EBC Nestam.
The scheme is applicable to those between 45 and 60 years of age.A total of 3 lakh 92 thousand 674 poor women will be given Rs 5 crore 89 crore.
CM Jagan will start the scheme from the Tadepalli camp office.The scheme will provide financial assistance of Rs 45,000 per woman over three years at a rate of Rs 15,000 per annum.
The AP government is already implementing a number of welfare development programs.As part of this, a new EBC Nestam is being implemented.
Under the scheme, money will be provided to poor women belonging to Reddy, Kamma, Aryavaishya, Brahmin, Kshatriya, Velamala and other OC communities across the state.Although not announced in the manifesto, the government says the scheme is aimed at improving the livelihood and financial empowerment of the poor on EBC.He explained that the government would be supportive to women at all stages.The scheme would benefit over 4 lakh women across the state.
This Rs 45,000 shall be given in three instalments in 3 years whose cumulative will be Rs 45,000.
