S. Korea extends its entry ban to 2 additional African countries amid Omicron concerns

Seoul, Dec 8, 2008 : South Korea has extended its entry ban to two more African countries on Wednesday due to growing concerns about the Omicron coronavirus variant.

Yonhap news agency reported that South Korean nationals as well as long-term foreign visitors from these countries will be subject to a mandatory 10-day quarantine.This applies regardless of whether they have received Covid-19 vaccination.South Korea has banned foreign entry from South Africa, Botswana and Lesotho, Namibia Mozambique Malawi, Zimbabwe, Eswatini and Nigeria effective November 28.38 confirmed cases of omicron have been reported so far by South Korea.int/sk #Korea #additional #African #Omicron #concerns #Coronavirus #Covid-19.
