Tollywood is blessed with both talented and super talented music composers but Thaman belongs to the third category – gifted composers.
He is a unique blend of art with smart.
Of late Thaman is facing criticism for giving repetitive music and many times he has been accused of plagiarism, but the music director quashes all such allegation. It all began with release of Malayalam film teaser Avatharam, which also has a background score very similar to Thaman’s Aagadu film’s first teaser.
After knowing this many accused Thaman for copying the background score of Aagadu from the Malayalam film. However the facts were different.
It was Thaman’s score which was used in a Malayalam film but many without realizing this fact accuse Thaman of copying. While some of Thaman’s fans came out in his support, others criticised the music composer for believing that his music was copied.
Putting a full stop to the controversy, Avatharam film’s producer and script writer Vyasan Edavanakkad has offered a clarification to a national news daily regarding the ‘copy’ controversy.“The trailer which was released online was just a dummy, which we have uploaded for the promotion.
The original BGM by Deepak Dev is still under production. We took the background score form online and never knew it would result in something like this”, said Vysan in a recent interview.
With the clarification from Malayalam makers Taman felt sigh of relief and hence proved that taman is not a copycat.Aagadu is the 50 th film in Taman career and he is the only one musician who reached this mark in very short span.Congarts to young Tarang.
