It is well-known that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will be acting in the Bollywood remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Kanchana’ (Muni 2).The original had Raghava Lawrence playing the main lead while he also directed the film which also released simultaneously in Telugu as well.
The Hindi remake is titled as ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and Lawrence himself is directing this remake as well. Now the latest news is that this much-awaited film is all set skip its theatrical release and will now release on Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform on November 9th as a Diwali treat.
The film has Kiara Advani playing the female lead while Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar, and Ashwini Kalsekar will be seen in crucial roles.
Akshay Kumar confirmed the news through his social media accounts by sharing a small teaser and said, “Iss Diwali aapke gharon mein “laxmmi” ke saath ek dhamakedar “bomb” bhi aayega.

The teaser shows Akshay Kumar’s transition from ‘Laxman’ to ‘Laxmmi’ with text that reads, “When the outcast becomes outraged… Akshay Kumar in and as Laxmmi Bomb.” News is also that the film’s promotional trailer will be out in the month of October.Akshay Kumar is currently busy with his next film ‘Bell Bottom’ and the shooting of this film is going on now at a brisk pace.Keep watching this space for more updates!
